Another macro shot from last month. I’ve seen this plant in a couple of local botanical gardens, not sure what it is. Maybe Coral Bells? Well it’s a beautiful nature image regardless.
Anyway, Tori Amos has a Christmas album coming out next month and one of the songs is called “Pink and Glitter” (what a name, lol). This shot reminds me a bit of the sparklers we used to have for July 4th when I was a kid. So, the name of this photo is actually derived from a combination of references to 2 different holidays. Funny how the mind works.
I chose this image for July for my 2010 calendar.
