This photo of dried hydrangea wraps up the series I began on Nov. 15th called “Photos that look like paintings”. This flower is as lovely dried as it is when in full bloom. And I have completed one post a day in November for National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo). Congratulations to my fellow bloggers who [...]

Another photo of Butterfly Milkweed. I shot this wide open, very late in the afternoon on a sunny day a few weeks past the Summer Solstice. The result … surreal colors & an unearthly bokeh. Also, yesterday I mentioned that I’m considering designing a website for my photography. I’d offer prints for sale in various [...]

On Black The title of this image is Flowers for Mr. Poe. I think Edgar would have liked this photograph. And I want to mention that I am contemplating designing a website for my photography. Whatcha think?

Actually, beautiful color for anywhere, anytime IMO. Glorious nature. EDIT: Thank you Lucy for letting me know that this plant is an American Beautyberry.

On Black I know we’re not supposed to shoot into the light, but it just felt right with this image. Glad I followed my instinct and broke the rules. This nature photo has a bit of a Christmassy feel to it so I’ve decided to print some greeting cards with this image.

One of my very favorite images, I took this photo early this summer. It is not easy shooting white flowers in the sunlight & it took several attempts to get this photo just right in my eyes. I adore it so much that I had it printed on canvas at my RedBubble Site and it [...]
