I must confess that I have a fascination with trains and train tracks. I took this macro shot on a cold January afternoon as the light was beginning to fade. Note: this is NOT an abandoned track. It was a lot of fun lying on my stomach trying to get just the right angle. Was it dangerous? A little, yes. But what we photographers won’t do to get a good shot!
Happy Friday 13th y’all!

Great shot … Anna K
Thank you!
Oooh that’s brilliant. How much fun to get a shot like that. Although it would’ve made me a bit nervous too. Gotta love the bokeh dots in the background.
I love taking calculated risks. That’s just my style, and it comes through in my photography sometimes.
A risk worth taking, wonderful shot. Also the parts holding the sleepers in place remind me of a grand piano and the parts that holds the keys in place at the back (if that makes sense). Love the tone and colour and of course the bokeh!
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
It does kind of look like inside of a piano! Thanks for stopping by.
Great shot! Love the lines. Sometimes I just place the camera on the floor and take a shot without even looking through the lens. I am not brave enough to lay down on the railway tracks. Or agile enough. Hope you have a fabulous weekend shooting fabulous photos!
Thanks for stopping by – I am going out to take some shots in a few minutes!

Excellent shot but rather you than me lying on the track but perhaps the rail line near us is just busier and less inviting
LOL – shh, don’t tell anyone but I DID have a lookout for approaching trains.
Great angle, and I like warm tones
I appreciate your comments. Thank you.
