I love chrysanthemums in the bud. As I’ve said, it’s a beautiful autumn flower. I have dozens of them planted in my front yard.
I’m starting a series called ‘Photos that look like paintings’, and will be continuing it through the end of the month. Some of my flower and nature images have a definite painterly quality about them. It’s a style I’ve been developing and refining over the past several months. I’m not interested in taking shots of nature to demonstrate technical proficiency: others do it well, and I respect their craft. My passion lies elsewhere, and my hope is that in presenting my approach to photography, others will see the beautiful world of flora as I do. After all, it is just a matter of how you see it.

Oooh that does look like a painting! Incredible. i want your camera.. and lens!
I highly recommend both my camera and lenses. But it is the photographer that makes the photo.
I love it, wish I could take pictures as awesome as yours.
Thank you so much for visiting warriorpoetess and for your kind words!
This is beautiful. I’m looking forward to seeing nature through your eyes and your approach.
Thank you. I’ve a number of photos yet to be reviewed and edited, so I’ll be busy for the rest of the month!
I want your talent!
Your photographs do look like paintings. Anxious to see more!
Thank you! I am working on editing more images, it can take quite a long time.
What I love about your nature photos is that they do have a different take on them, you capture the short perfectly but there always feels like there is a story being told in that shot too, much like there is in paintings.
I appreciate your comment very much!
I know what you mean – I love it when the picture looks like a gorgeous watercolor! : )) great pic!
Thank you. Love it when I can capture with a camera & lens an image that resembles a watercolor.
