I took this shot of black-eyed susans blooming at a local garden late this summer: I think they are one of the most photogenic flowers I’ve ever seen. Flower power! The name of this image is Far afield. Summer is my favorite season for so many reasons: long days, warm temperatures, clear skies, and last but not least, there’s a whole world of blossoming images to be captured. Only November and already I am missing it …

I love black-eyed susan. Lovely shots. They actually do look like a painting. My favorite flower to shoot has to be sunflowers though. Can’t get a bad shot even if you tried:)
I have never photographed a sunflower – I’ll put that on my list for next year!!
Oh you will love it! I’ve shot plastic ones and real ones. You just can’t go wrong with them. I have a bunch of sunflower shots on my blog. I bet you’d take great shots with the macro.
