I do not know what kind of shrub this is, but we found it while walking through a local arboretum. Beautiful color for Northern Illinois in late November. Actually, beautiful color for anywhere, anytime IMO. Glorious nature.

It is called — perfectly and simply — American beauty berry, aka French mulberry. I love that it is just as striking in the fall as in summer. A gorgeous shot.
