What region/area do you live in, Kala? (no need to be specific, I was just curious about the general location)
Maybe spring will come for you sometime.
The light is pretty in this photo.
It’s been awfully cold here also Kala, and now another major snowstorm expected tomorrow. So dream, I will, and this gorgeous photograph will sure allow me to do that.
Each visit here is more amazing than the one before it. You do such beautiful work!
A beautiful shot. I was in Joshua Tree NP on the first day of Spring and got snowed on, a few flakes anyway. And here, I thought I was in Southern California.
I love the movement in the petals a lot. Composition and depth of field are wonderful and very creative, as always! I love the dreamlike feel of that image a lot.
oh this reminds me of a walk i took with my best friend a couple of weeks ago. he shows me rhododendrons and says they are magnolias. then we pass a great pine tree which he refers to as an oak.
Here in the sunny south east of Ireland it’s grey, wet and blowing up a wild storm – I can emphasise with you Kala. Meanwhile those magnolias remind me that spring ain’t too far away. Muchos thankyous!
I wish I were standing in a grove of Magnolia trees with a gentle wind whirling through the limbs. I guess I can dream of it with more detail after looking at your beautiful image! Soon I will be there!
Magnificent! I love magnolia! The weather has been cold in Gothenburg, Sweden, too. Last Sunday, two degrees above zero and a freezing wind when I went outside with my camera.
Every magnolia image you take is better than the last. I’m always moved, visually, to how you can always seem to capture a new perspective. I especially love how you can see the trunk of the tree go up into the sky.
I’ve never seen so many comments on one photo and I may have commented on these previously. BUT WOW. I am going to try and replicate this some day and hope mine turns out 1/2 as well.
How very lovely! Thank you for stopping by! I’m hoping that I now have Pictures on the blog…thought I had them before too. Please let me know if you see them? Thank you again!
This blog was created to share my love for photography. I hope you enjoy some of what you see here.

But both are lovely.
Still, the pink ones are lovelier! Ha ha!

I’m dreaming too Kala. I keep looking at last year’s photos trying to guess when this year’s blooms will spring forth.
So anxious.
This is lovely! As someone already said the DOF is awesome.
